Author Interview for ‘Warm Hearts’ by Sneha Sarkar

  1. Please introduce yourself.

Hello everyone, It gives me immense pleasure to introduce myself. I'm Jaagruthi Sharma, born and raised in Rajasthan. I am an author, poetess, student, and lyricist. Apart from my primary pursuits, I find joy in walking, dancing, cooking, reading, studying, watching, traveling, singing, and various other hobbies and passions.

2. From when I started reading and writing?

In my early years, my love for reading blossomed with short stories from newspapers, weekly, and monthly magazines. While I'm not an avid reader yet, I'm diligently working on cultivating this habit. I've realized that though challenging, reading is among the most enriching hobbies one can embrace. On the writing front, my journey began during school days through various competitions where I found joy in expressing myself through words. Literature became my eternal favorite, nurturing my passion for writing. An unforgettable experience was participating in a junior editor competition by Dainik Bhaskar. Given a complete newspaper, we were tasked with writing and illustrating-a moment that further fueled my creative enthusiasm. Over the years, this passion has flourished, resulting in the literary pieces I've created, am creating, and will continue to craft.

3. What's favourite pastime reading or writing?

Hence, it might seem a bit confusing, but both reading and writing hold a special place in my heart. While I deeply cherish and enjoy both processes, I find myself leaning a bit more towards writing. For me, writing feels like an experimental journey where I can explore endless possibilities.

4. Who is your inspiration behind your book?

I always find joy in answering this question. My debut novel, 'Warm Hearts, drew inspiration from the challenging life of a young man, though not so young, who lived among my tenants. However, it's important to note that the story, its plots, characters, and all aspects are entirely fictional.

5. How long it had taken to write your book?

It took approximately 4-5 months from the initial inspiration to submitting the manuscript to the publisher. Throughout this period, I went from conceiving the idea, penning it down, crafting it, and everything in between.

6. From the very beginning you wanted to be an author or it's just a passion?

As for my career path, I've always had a diverse range of hobbies from the start. Writing was never something I planned to pursue initially, but unexpectedly, it became the first one to materialize into reality. So, I'd describe it as an unplanned career choice among my various passions, but undoubtedly, it's a passion that I wholeheartedly love.

7. Which is that one book that everyone should read according to you (of course other than your book)?

There's this one book I would really love to recommend everyone which really really add meaning to your thoughts and also changes so many things for you.. although the best book would be Bhagvad Geeta but I consider it not as just a book but as only of holiest book and the best part of one of the greatest epics of all time. And the book I'll recommend is Treasury of Joy and Enthusiasm by Norman Vincent Peale.

8:- Lastly, few words for the readers.

I won't delve into the typical inspiring and motivational phrases because, for me, motivation stems from within. The drive and determination come from internal sources, regardless of external influences. However, I earnestly urge everyone to support those around them. Support isn't solely monetary; it encompasses physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual backing. Being kind and compassionate to people matters, except when they're behaving negatively. In this era of social media, even small affirmations or validations can significantly impact someone's day. Your little gestures can make a world of difference. Thank you so much!

Best regards,                                                                                                                                                     Jaagruthi Sharma
